FAQs

1. What APIs does xeebi support?
xeebi offers both a HTTP and SMPP API. You can access the latest version of our APIs here.

2. What is SMPP?
The Short Message Peer-to-Peer (SMPP) is a protocol used by the telecommunications industry for exchanging SMS messages between Short Message Service Centers (SMSC) and/or External Short Messaging Entities (ESME). The protocol is a level-7 TCP/IP protocol, which allows fast delivery of SMS messages.

3. What type of messages can the xeebi platform support?
The xeebi platform can support both time-critical messages and promotional messages for campaigns. The xeebi platform intelligently supports message type routing to optimize time-critical messages in our system.

4. What is a time critical message?
A time-critical message is a message that needs to be delivered within a short time-frame to a mobile handset. Typical time-critical messages are usually associated with two-factor authentication (2FA) processes whereby SMS is used to authenticate the user via SMS.

5. Do you support conversion reporting?
The xeebi platform definitely supports conversion reporting. Please see our developer docs section for more details.

6. What payment methods do you offer?
Currently xeebi supports Paypal and Bank Wire transfers. Please speak to your account manager to arrange payment for services.

7. How can I setup an account with xeebi?
Setting up an account is easy. Your account manager will gladly setup a test account for you. Should you wish to integrate with our platform via our API, our support team will setup and provide you with your API credentials.

8. Do you offer delivery in all the countries in the world?
xeebi has extensive coverage to a global network of mobile operators. To see our latest coverage that we offer, please visit our pricing page and download our latest global rate card.

9. What is SenderID?
SenderID is what is displayed on a mobile handset when you receive SMS. The xeebi API supports an alpha numeric value and can be set to a maximum of 15 digits or 11 characters. There are certain regulations in some countries prohibiting the use numeric or alpha. Please be aware that in order to comply with local regulations, xeebi or the operator may overwrite the senderID to ensure delivery.

10. What is the maximum length of an SMS?
A typical SMS consists of 160 characters. Should your message exceed this character limitation, xeebi will deliver this message as a concatenated message broken up into message parts.

11. How much will it cost to deliver a message?
Each country and operator has their own termination rate. All our pricing is listed here and is updated on a daily basis.
